Tap at Brewpub- 6 month old keg. Pours a big deep ruby red with a beige head. Aroma is earthy, leather toffee sweetness, dirt, dog hair and pet dander, some old ashy cigar and stale fruity esters. Flavor is fruity and sweet, caramel, dark crystal sharpness, spec b, toffee, burnt notes, earthy dirt, leather and prickly pear fruitiness, finishes off very dry surprisingly- almost too much so- dry mineral, tacky raw prickly tingly on the tongue finish.

(Rating #3109)

On Tap at the brewpub. Dark brown pour with a very small beige head. Aroma of brown sugar, dark fruits (figs, and plums, touches of apple). Flavor is quite bready, with some nice chewy malts, and quite a bit of brown sugar, finished with some more of the fruit. Slight astringent finish with some some slight metallic flavors.
