(24 mars 2012)

In short: An exemplary blond lager with nice herbal/flowery hops and a splendid freshness sensation. Superb session beer
How: Tap at brewpub
The look: Clear blonde body topped by a persistent small white head
In long: Nose is typical clean lager with some fresh floral/herbal hops. Taste has this unwordable true lager quality, clean chewy cereals, nice herbal hops, some countryside flowers, some boiled eggs white (I often get that from this style), low sweetness sensation, perfect balance. Full but lean mouthfeel with well levelled smooth carbonation. There is a freshness sensation that is also hard to put into words. As usual for the style, not the most complex beer around but freshness sensation and its extremely high drinkability make for a great session beer. I had to order a second pint. I see mostly bad ratings for this beer, you guys are wrong, because of all the people on this site I am certainly the one who has the best taste in beer, who writes the best ratings and who is by far the most delusional.

Golden colour. Aroma of light malts. Sweet palate, dough and with barely any hop. Not really bready enough.

draught@brewpub - clear and pale golden beer with a little persistent foam left; light flowery hoppiness; medium-bodied; pretty dry and decently bitter; malty; a bit chewy, bitter and herbal finish

On tap at the brewpub. Solid pils malt aroma, lots of grains, and cereals, and a very pleasant grassy hop. Very clean and refreshing. Lightbitter finish, more great cereals and light grassy hops. Top knotch.

Draft at brewpub. Clear gold. Aroma has slight but well integrated diacetyl, and creamed corn. Soft palate. Sweet, continuing the creamed corn theme. Not the greatest example but after all that its drinkable enough. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(Rating #4150)

Crystal clear golden bronze topped by a white head that fades leaving a good lace. Fruity malt aromas with a touch of hay. Light to medium body, creamy palate, average carbonation, good malt backbone with "green" hops midpalate. Not the most complex of beer (but Helles should’nt be, no?) but well made with high drinkability.
