I was bang on, great roastiness, and a creamy smooth body, great stout. Sammy (3242), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 24, 2007 Above-average beer (though only average stout) enjoyed on-tap at the brewpub.Cold coffee that has been roasted but is creamy, definately affected by the nitro-tap treatment. Astringent bitter yet still well malted. Coffee aroma. Grainy and creamy mouthfeel. Surprising 33 IBU and under 5% abv.
mabel (1710), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Aug 20, 2007 [523-20070811] Tap @ Cheval Blanc (Montréal, QC). Coffee roasted malt aroma with some nice hints of nut. Black body with a quick foamy light tan head. Flavour holds roast bitter coffee malt with a nutty background and a sweet finish. Medium-full body. Not too heavy, the balance of bitterness and coffee and nuts is interesting. ChazyRPh (571), Chazy, New York, USA Jan 30, 2007 Nitro pour - Opaque black with creamy beige head. Roasty malt aroma, burnt malt also. Creosote. Roasted/burnt malt flavors balanced with some hop presence. Mouthfeel a little thin, a little too acidic - Not bad.
