Huge roasted malt aroma with notes of chocolate and coffee. Dark black, opaque body with thick brown head that lasts (nitro). Touch of licorice, bitter chocolate, coffee grounds. in the flavour. Fairly lactic. Lasting roastiness. Creamy smooth mouthfeel but watery thin body. On tap at the brewpub. Sampled with Lubiere.

Paid by the Pub at the end of a beer tasting evening with PrimeMinister. Perfectly opaque black body topped with a lasting beige creamy head. Malty aroma with roasted coffee notes. Taste is very well balanced. Flavors are mainly malty and coffeeish. Mild and creamy texture. Fair bitter/roasty finish. Enjoyable creamy stout.

On nitro tap. Pours a dark brown with a thick light tan head. Aroma of charred, roasted malt and bitter chocolate. Flavor of roasted malt, roasted grains, light char, light chocolate. Solid nitro stout, but fairly simple. 7/4/7/4/14 (3.6/5)

12 oz. glass on tap at the brewpub. App.: very dark brown-black, barely a hint of red with a tight, creamy, light-tan head. Aroma: skunky coffee (French roast), a littel dark chocolate, cat pee (ammonia?) and not much else. Med.-full body, very low carbonation and slightly astringent. Flav.: black coffee and a bit of dark chocolate...close to the nose. Finishes a bit thin, slightly bitter with a black coffee aftertaste. Quite dry (hardly a sweet stout) and slightly tart. Lacks complexity, but quite drinkable.
