Le Cheval Blanc Pils 15

In short: A well malted and mega-saaz-hoppy “big” bohemian pilsner. Kick-ass.

The look: Partly cloudy blonde body topped by a small but persistent white head
In long: Nose is an onslaught of Saaz. This is a Saazy baby. There is a whole lot of cereals in this beer and coupled with a light sugary honey sensation the malts tasted like my Honeycombs™ breakfast cereals (yes, I eat Honeycombs). The pleasant nourishing body is chewy and a bit fluffy with an expansive carbonation. Bitterness is assertive, very dry and intense. No alcohol presence or “heavy” feeling, this is as drinkable as the over-the-top 5% bohemian pilsners I had fresh in Czech Republic. There is a light perfumy note on the nose that I didn’t find “authentic” but mostly this is spot-on authentic imperial bohemian pilsner that makes me wanna go back pub-crawling in Czech Republic instead of going back home watching midget porn. Wow, in a single rating I confessed eating Honeycombs™ and watching midget porn. I bet most people who know me didn’t suspect I eat Honeycombs™.

En fût. Verre de 10 oz dégusté directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Légère odeur d’houblons. Apparence: La couleur est blonde pâle avec une moyenne densité de bulle. Présence d’un mince col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût franc d’houblons Saaz avec une pointe de céréales. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Arrière goût légèrement houblonné. (Rating #2490)

Bu sur place le 21 juin, 2009, en fut (20 oz). Blonde dorée claire, petit collet. Arome d’houblon saaz sex et parfumé, des notes de citron. Goût sec mais assez rafréchissant, agrume houblonné fraiche, amerturme végétal sec. Légèrement inférieu a l’autre bohémienne de CB, mais respectable!
