3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 Glouglouburp (4784) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - APR 13, 2010
In short: A very yeasty wild and flowery Saison
How: Cask at brewpub
The look: Opaque peach color topped by a medium white head
In long: Nose is seriously wild, lots of wild yeast and garden flowerss. Taste is banana cake swimming in a lot of wild yeast. Juicy flowery hops provide a smooth bitterness. Finish is not dry despite the strong wild yeast presence. Body is full and fluffy. I don’t think the cask conditioning was a good idea. This beer was good but could have been even better with regular Belgian style carbonation. It’s because of good sessions beers like this one that I now have more fat cells than brain cells
