Drank on cask (10 oz) at the brewpub on October 4, 2011. Honey muddy brown, thin head. Caramelized barley aroma, lightly hopped. Taste of black tea and dry hopped, dry bitterness. Traditional and well done!

On cask at the brewpub. Clear dark ruby pour with off white head. Aroma is quite malty, reminiscent of irish red ales, lots of toffee is present, light herbal hops. Very present toffee flavor, sweet malt, golding hop finish. Palate is creamy, nice bitter finale. A good cask bitter, I’m not too familiar with this style but I enjoyed this one quite a bit.
