Brown bottle, 12 ounces, purchased at Dépanneur de la rive on August 13 2009, savoured on September 24 2009; eye: copper, clear, light effervescence, nice creamy beige head made up of rather large bubbles, light lacing; nose: malt, caramel, grain, light hops, small berries, burnt toast; mouth: malt, caramel, hops, small berries, light burnt, short finale in malt with presence of bittering hops, good carbonation, lightly bitter, medium body, lightly sour, slightly grainy texture; overall: fine FRANÇAIS Canette avec une étiquette, 473 ml, achetée au Dépanneur de la rive le 13 août 2009, savourée le 24 septembre 2009; œil : cuivrée, claire, légère effervescence, belle mousse beige crémeuse formée de bulles plutôt grosses, légère dentelle; nez : malt, caramel, grain, léger houblon, petits fruits, pain brûlé; bouche : malt, caramel, houblon, petits fruits, léger brûlé, finale courte en malt avec bonne présence de houblon amérisant, bonne carbonatation, légèrement amère, corps moyen, légèrement surette, texture légèrement granuleuse; en résumé : bien

Brown color, darker than any ESB I had. Subtle maple aroma and maple taffy dominant notes. Pretty sweet maltiness but the herbal hoppiness makes this beer balanced and enjoyable. I’ll buy some more...

Canette de 500ml. Bière rubis (rousse-rouge) avec une belle mousse. Le nez est sucrée caramel, un certain houblon. Le bouche est trop sucrée à mon goût, il manque un peu d’équilibre entre le malt et le houblon. Malheureusement la finale se termine avec un certain goût d’aluminium.

Belle couleur dorée. Bon goût frais sans trop d’amertume. Légé goût caramel. Mousse abondante qui se dissipe rapidement.

473 ml can. Clear reddish amber pour with a medium offwhite head. Pleasant aroma of earthy, floral hops, fruits caramel and toasted malt. The flavor has a solid presence of toasted malt and caramel, the hops feel very earthy and English, there’s also a fruity presence, the bitterness is very restrained. The body is light to medium and the carbonation is moderate. I would love to try this at the pub cask-conditioned.

Sample tray. Dark copper. Sweet caramel aroma. Dark woody malt and lasting hops. Sweet with hints of coffeer and molasses.

Bu au St-Bock à Montréal en fut (20 oz), le 14 février 2009. Brune acajou, mouyen collet. Arome d’houblon sucré, un peu amère avec quelque notes de céréal malté. Goût sucré d’houblon, d’orge et d’avoine, pas très amère mais agréable. J’aime bien ça!
