3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 Quevillon (2014) - Sainte-Thérèse, - OCT 1, 2009
Drank at their pub September 27, 2009, on tap at 8.5%. Hazy honey, medium head. Aroma of hops plant sweet and gentle. Taste slightly of hops plant, small notes of sweet berries, bit of bitterness with a little presence of alcohol, which suggests to me they are wrong about the poursantage. It’s vegi but drinkable!

A lightly veiled golden IPA with a thin lacing white head. In aroma, caramel malt and perfumey butterscotch. In mouth, a nice grainy and herbal malt with good hopping, very English, resinous, well done, medium bodied. On tap at brewpub, April 1st 2010.

On tap at Le Corsaire. The color is a hazy honey with a thick beige head. The taste is hoppy and vegy not that great a mixture but with added taste of some fruits, it comes out fairly good. The 8.5 % alcohol is not that noticeable so for an I.P.A. it is high?.All in all a good I.P.A.
3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 presario (4137) - Stampede City, Alberta, CANADA - MAR 16, 2009
Sample tray. Gold. Drinkable with moderate hops. Similar to the Pale but with a better body and stronger finish.
3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 MartinT (6350) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - MAR 9, 2009
My Bottom Line:
This leafy and peppery India Pale Ale offers a little honey and caramel to nearly balance out its brazenly bitter finish.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A thin film of foam tops the clear pale amber.
-The leafy hop nose was a tad dusty, which was bothersome.
-The hop bitterness was earthy as well as peppery.
-Peaches and citrus fruit sometimes appear within.
-This is very drinkable throughout, even though the nose is not terribly appealing.
On tap at the brewpub.
