A hazy golden amber wit with a thin white head. In aroma, a smooth clover and banana, flowery and light talcum notes. In mouth, a rather flowery essence with light chalkyness, light cloves, rather short in mouth. On tap at brewpub, April 1 2010.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 MartinT (6934) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 3, 2010
My Bottom Line:
Strawberry milk, wheat and light citrus whip up a Witbier redolent of some fruit Smoothies one can make at home.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam covers the opaque, pinky beige.
-The mouthfeel and appearance are unrefined, but the fascinating fruit character makes this a compelling quencher nonetheless.
-This fruitiness is also floral while evolving into pomegranate and blueberry territories at times.
-This one must be very popular with the summer terrace-seeking crowds.
On tap at the brewpub.

2011-08-08. Murky peach coloured body with a small white head. 3+ Odd aroma of tart fruit, baby diaper, grapefruit, bit funky. Flavour is also odd, sweet bit of wheat character, sugary notes, finish is a bit muddled. Smooth average to light bodied palate. I might like this better on another day, but today it did not work for me. On tap at the brewpub, Levis

(Rating #3009)

Can - 473ml. Hazy peach/golden body with a good white foamy head. Fresh malty/hoppy aroma with fruity/flowery hints. Taste is slightly dominated by malty flavors. It carries grainy and citrusy notes and ends with a short bittersweet finish. Not bad.

Pours a clear rose with a fizzy carbonation and no head. Aroma is light wheat with light fruity. Taste is light bodied or no bodied, light fruity and some wheat is probably in it.
