Dec 27, 2007 330ml bottle at Caspar’s Christmas Cracker, bought from the shop in Lyon. Pale amber. Candied fruit and caramel aroma. Let down by a weak flavour and an ugly finish.

Dec 25, 2007 A Mes rate: 33cl bottle at Casper’s Christmas Cracker.
Pale amber with an oily white film. Strong caramel aroma with sweet malt and candied fruit. Similar flavour with the reasonably heady abv being totally apprarent. Nasty finish. Not great.

Oct 14, 2003 Beautiful red-amber color, with a creamy head. Very nice malt aroma; light wood, coriander, vanilla, sweet orange. Round mouthfeel, with good malt and well balanced by the bitterness, in a crescendo to the end; with a quite strong caramel as well, and a subtle sour note. Le Diable Rouge has chosen a good brewer!
