beerbuzzmontreal (2674), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 13, 2005 Slightly cloudy golden color with a ring of white lace. Aroma of wild flowers honey. The flavor is extremely acid, it feels more like a Cantillon than a honey beer and I guess it wasn’t done on purpose. Paskal (146), La Prairie, Quebec, Canada Sep 7, 2005 Fût-Ambrée opaque, faible collet, goût fruité et mielleux laissant une finale très amer.--Draft-Ambred, soft head, fruity and honey taste, strong bitterness. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 5, 2005 The Lure: Some dusty yeast soiling the peaches and fruity honey. Frothy carbonation helps the head formation, but must surely be agressive once tasted.
The Festivities: Bothersome prickly carbonation bugging the dusty oranges. Wooden hops appear in the finale, strangely blending well with the imposing yeast. Honey is quite subdued here, being eaten away by the voracious yeast. Maybe this one needs some filtering, their yeast just takes too much room in the flavor profile.
Transcendence: A half-clogged nose in the forest. Taktik_MTL (1843), Montréal-Nord, Quebec, Canada Jul 11, 2005 Verre de dégustation à la brasserie. Arôme: Arôme de fruits et de miel. Apparence: Couleur ambrée orangée opaque. Mince col blanc mousseux. Faible densité des bulles. Saveur: Goût de miel et d’agrumes. Court arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture minérale. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Légère amertume en arrière goût. (Rating #206) Radek Kliber (3278), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 9, 2005 Light, sweet aroma. Cooper brew with plenty of carbonation, medium creamy head. Medium body, sweet flavour with late grassy bitter finish.
