Light, sweet, juicy and fruity aroma. Cloudy amber-brown body is topped by an anemic white head that recedes instantly to ring. Tart acidity cuts through the fruity sweetness but there’s not a lot about this that makes me want another one. Very dry with little or no malt character. Medium light body is watery with very strong carbonation that jack hammers the tongue. Sampled at Mondial 2006.

Has a cloudy dark gold body and a very small little head on top. Aroma is fruit syrup, very thick sugariness on the nose. The flavour is an odd mix of honey and fruit with just a hint of beerishness in there. It’s a surprisingly strange mix, but it sort of works. Sort of.

This pours dark burnt caramel amber with an off white bubbly head and low retention. The aroma is lightly sweet from the honey on top of that typical Canadian aroma of their classic brown ale style I have experienced. The flavor starts out as a bland malty amber ale which gets better when the flavor of pure honey comes in without any overpowering sweetness. The honey helps the beer to settle really nice on top of a too light and bubbly body.

Bouteille 500 ml. 7%. Couleur ambrée-orangée. Mousse blanche-beige.

Bottle (500ml). First off I must say, $5.99 a bottle is way too much for this! Now, onto the rating: Pours a murky bubbly dark copper with an average size diminishing off-white head. Aroma of blackberries, a bit tart and sweet, somewhat fake smelling but not bad -- doesn’t really have any beer qualities to it though. Flavour of tart blackberries with a sourness (not in a good way) or ’metal’-ness to it and an aftertaste that leaves a little to be desired -- not very good at all. Light to average bodied. This doesn’t resemble a beer and it isn’t any good -- drainpour it is.
