red éric (1379), montréal, Quebec, Canada Sep 6, 2006 Sampled at festival bières et saveurs, slight hazy yellow gold hue, with an off-white head, the nose is one of intense fruitiness of mongo, passion fruit, pineapple, lichy, peach, stawberry, with a candy artificial accent, fruit syrup, faint pale malt in the aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with yeasty spritzy fruit character of mango, pineapple, with acidic fruitiness, hint of spicy vanilla, pale malt, leading towards an fruity acidity and a faint hop bittering finish. Siroy (220), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Feb 21, 2006 [ Sampler at the brewpub (6oz) shared with brave ppl ; chilled ]
aaaaawful!
A fully diminushing small fizzy white (pink?) head that tops up a clear light pink? body. No lacing. No particules. Many big bubbles Aroma presents malt being very faint (absent?) while hops are very faint flowers . Also, there are evident traces of blueberries juice. Initial flavor is gross while development is just as gross with notes of cheap fruit salad. Finish is short (thank god!)
Light body... watery texture... Soft carbonation...
That was very funny. Lubiere (3146), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jan 4, 2006 At Festival Bières et Saveurs Sept. 2005. Hazy golden ale with a thin white head. Diacetyl fruit salad aroma, disgusting. Astringent malt with corny notes, horrible and bad. Watery bodied. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Sep 5, 2005 The Lure: Slick and plump bananas, pineapples, blueberries all reduced into a thick syrup. If you had blindfolded me, I would probably have told you you had put an ice cream sundae under my nose. Ubersweet fruitiness even possesses some caramel to bulk it up, smothering the grainy hay. No sign of beer so far, but that in-your-face bold fruitiness should please non-beer lovers for sure.
The Festivities: Another one which should be filtered perhaps. That dusty yeast overwhelms most flavors, so the aforementioned fruit syrup is actually dissolved into effervescent carbonation and that pugnacious yeast. Flavors are mostly shy, and recall that of their Adorée au Miel. A funny creation for that beauty contest.
Transcendence: Honey, could you get me a drink, I don’t want to get out of the pool... Miguel (1181), Sorel-Tracy, Quebec, Canada Sep 4, 2005 Robe blonde pâle voilée surmontée d’une mousse blanche. Arômes de bleuets. Saveurs de bleuets et d’ananas. Pas très houblonnée.
