Mondial de la Bière de Montréal; On tap, Wow, what a good beer. Spicy and floral aroma, golden color, sweat, citrus, fruity, spicy...this beer has everything to ’quiver’ your palate...same feeling than a gueuze.

Super de bonne bère. Légé goût de cerise. Peu de mousse, légère dentelle. Un peu amer. Douce.

(Rating #1774)

A clinging ring circles the glittering amber...Typical Grimoire dusty yeast in the nose, alongside soapy esters and citrusy spices...Dry, floral hop bitterness comes up confidently after the orangey fruitiness...Alcohol is ably concealed for its size, and lean caramel maltiness attempts to create a foundation...Not a Belgian-style abbey beer as advertised, more of a styleless strong ale...

Sampled at Mondial 2006. The body was medium gold with a slightly off white head. The aroma was sweet sweat and pears with some earthy funk. The taste was dry leather with some bread. There was not much fruit. The mouthfeel was soft.
