500 ml bottle. hazy copper/amber pour, a nice eggshell head that adds some nice lacing to my glass. Aroma is very hoppy, lots of nice citrucy, piney hops. Lots of great aroma of grapefruit, and lemon zest, with quite a bit of apricot, and maybe some granny smth apples. Flavour is Sweet hops, and some nice malt. The hops are so juicy, and citrucy. Wow, this is kinda odd, there is that sweet juicy hoppiness, lots of grapefruit, and oranges, and apricots, but it’s also a touch sour, justa touch. Very interesting, and VERY enjoyable.

The Lure:
Wooden hops float atop the yeast-laden oranges. A superb, lingering head bobs over the severely unfiltered garment. Earthy yeast and frank hops seem to bridge the gap between America and Belgium.

The Festivities:
Belgian-like yeastiness announces its presence at the first sip. Either that or this plentiful yeast, combined with the agressive carbonation, makes it feel quite Belgian. Oranges and a wooden personality combine in the English/American hoppiness (Cs and Goldings?), producing a sticky hoppy and yeasty bitterness which endures the trip down the gullet and then some. Different, interesting and again a wonderful improvement from these newbies in the Quebec brewing scene.

Transcendence:
Discovering a distinctly artisanal food stand on the side of the road, and liking their unique stylings.

Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps et la texture sont mince. Moyenne effervescence en bouche. Présence d’amertume en arrière goût. (Rating #644)

Sample at the Mondiale 2005: Poured a copper color ale with a medium head with not much retention. Aroma of citrus and bitter hops. Taste is rather bitter with some subtle citrus flavour also noticeable. Body is a bit thin and watery feeling is noticeable while drinking this beer. Average.

Sampled at Mondial 2006. The aroma was grapefeuit with some caramel. Poured with a medium orange colored body. The taste was definite toffee with grapefruit. There was not much else ot say, borin but not bad. A little much on the carbonation.
