MartinT (4458), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Dec 4, 2004 Fruity honey emerges from cereal bowl aromas...Doughy yeast prickles the candyish malt sweetness within the fizzy carbonation...Hayish malt huskiness still holds on that sweet and hopless fruitiness...Intentionally brewed for the locals to slowly switch over from their eternal glass of macro beer to artisanal brew, so it’s not a beer for tasting that’s for sure...Like the 2 other beers I had from them that day, it tastes very young, as if it were not completely finished...Maybe when they have more time to age their batches, this "problem" will clear up, they just started brewing a few weeks ago... muzzlehatch (4429), Burlington, USA Dec 7, 2004 Sampled at the brewpub with MartinT, tiggmtl, Taktik MTL in the company of the brewers...hazy medium-amber, little head...bit of lemon and apple in the odd nose which graduates to sourdough and over-sweet red wine...lactic and sour flavor, subdued hops; really off...too young and perhaps not fully fermented? The most problematic of the three. tiggmtl (4178), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Dec 6, 2004 Fruity, doughy, under-attenuated, yeasty aroma. Hazy blonde-copper with thin, white, fully-diminishing head. Doughy, yeasty flavour is very green. Seems unfinished. Low carbonation and fairly thin body. It seems like there may be some type of problem with the yeast not finishing, or with racking from the yeast too soon. On tap at the brewpub with MartinT, muzzlehatch and Taktik MTL. Lubiere (3410), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Jan 15, 2005 Hazy gold ale with a fruity apple aroma, crisp malt, and light hop finish. Light raspberry tart mouthfeel and medium fruity body. Not bad. Radek Kliber (3403), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 9, 2005 Gold, medium carbonated with relative small head. Mild grassy, malty aroma, bitter green like. Good texture, medium bodied ale, finish is bitter .Fine clean ale.
