3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 mjs (3000) - Helsinki, FINLAND - DEC 26, 2010
(Bottle - generously offered by fonefan - at the 16th Kerstbierfestival) The beer poured dark brown and cloudy. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had caramell and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied and dry with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, soap, sweetness, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty, sweet and bitter. Too sweet and the soap flavour wasn’t so tempting either.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Fin (5749) - Merton, Oxfordshire, England, Oxfordshire, ENGLAND - DEC 22, 2010
Bottle at Kerstbier Festival, Essen, Belgique, 19.12.10 Despite the program notes suggesting that this is hazy I think it looks remarkably bright and clear. There is a spicy nose with some indian spices, coriander and cumin, or are the notes suggesting to me that I’m getting these aroma’s whatever I can detect them I’m sure. Touch thin in the mouth, fruity, some late toffee flavour’s shine through but little else of note. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov12 3.1

Clear dark amber to reddish beer, off-white adhesive stable head. Aroma: red berries, sour, green apple. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: hops and a sour touch up front, then a little sweet malts, fruitiness, wood. Aftertaste: mocha, sour red berries, yeast.
3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (6747) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - DEC 19, 2010
Small yellowish head over foxy red-brown beer. Faint spicy and malty nose, but generally speaking rather empty. Spiced flavours, more pronounced than in the nose (coriander, aniseed); sweet overall and oxydized in the finish. Quite slick, near syrupy, but thankfully not cloying. Well-bodied. Just another sweet winterspice beer...
