La version 2011 était sublime. Ma bière aux fruits préférée à vie. Or, le brassin de 2012 que j’ai goûté à quelques reprises était beaucoup moins «fraisé», autant au nez qu’en bouche. J’imagine que les brassins dépendent beaucoup des fraises qui peuvent être différentes d’une année à l’autre, en quantité comme en qualité...

Sample on tap at Bières et saveurs (Chambly). POurs clear amber with tiny beige head. Aroma: strwberry essence, malt. Taste is reminescent of strwberry flavour desert. Sweet with some fruity acidity. Having been locking forward to taste a strwberry flavour beer for a long time, I was eager to taste this one. Have to say that I was a bit disapointed, but it was a good try nevertheless. Maybe my expectations were too high...

Bouteille 500ml. Belle couleur rouge, avec un peu de mousse beige. Arôme de confiture de fraises, un peu chimique, légère odeur de caramel, et d’alcool. Goût très acide, assez amère, avec un léger arrière-goût de fraise. Texture un peu aqueuse avec une faible carbonation.

Goût de fraise présent mais pas trop. Légèrement amère, amertume reste tout de même longtemps en boche. Bonne dans l’ensemble.

Pours amber, with "ok" beige head. Aroma is of strawberries, sligth malt, acidity (fruits). Taste is of strawberries (a little like in jam), citrus, acidity. Overall: refreshing, acidic finish. Alcohol very well hidden. Impressive balance, ligth body.

Really good and refreshing strawberry beer! Drank the whole 500 ml bottle in about 5 minutes! A little bit acidic and subtle strawberry taste which makes really interesting. One of the best seasonal beers Ive tried so far and most prolly the best strawberry beer.

@Mondial de la Bière 2012, Montreal - dark amber-brown beer; hazy; no head retention; aroma of herbs and red fruits; subtle; medium-bodied, fresh and pretty lively; low bitterness; quite dry with more hints of herbs and red fruits

Ruby/amber pour, off white head. Aroma of well, yes, aspberries. Quite acidic, and a touch tart, doesn’t taste artificial at all. The inish is sweet with a tart tinge at the end. Nice stuff.

A copper amber ale with a thin mocha head. In aroma, a beautiful strawberry with smooth malt, light fruit acidity, very nice. In mouth, a smooth fruit pulp, like wild strawberries, nice sweet caramel, well balanced. On tap at Festibiere de Gatineau, May 25 2012.
