Bottle [341ml] shared with HogTownHarry & garthicus -- c/o HogTownHarry. Labeled as Chantier Naval. Pours a murky orange-amber with a spare diminishing frothy off-white head. Aroma is...not good. Metal, tea, cardboard, caramel malt and fruit. Flavour is odd but better, with strawberries, caramel malt and more fruit. Light to average bodied. Just O.K.

Thanks to HogTownHarry. Appearance: Golden red, small off white head. Aroma: Grassy, fruit, tea, cardboard. Flavour: Spicy gunpowder tea, jasmine, so herbal and real like. Lots of tea. Wow. Interesting

500ml bottle shared with blankboy and garthicus. Slightly hazy amber with a small diminishing frothy head. Aroma of fruit, black tea and wildflowers - nice. Taste follows, but weirdly pungent and bitter with ploastic - harsh.. Average mouthfeel, plastic and spice, so strange. Not sure I like it.

Odeur de fraise qui ne ment pas. Mais on est loin du jus! Très peu de sucre, une acidité tranchante et une certaine amertume avec un rappel de fraise en arrière goût. Différent et plaisant.

From a 500 ml bottle into a flute. Pours a reddish, orange ambered coat with a yellowish head. Not quite a great head retention, disappears rather quickly. Tastes very sweet with a good level of acidity, mostly tastes of strawberries, without being exaggerated. Persistent bitterness follows. Feels thin, yet somewhat creamy. A very refreshing summer beer, I’d recommend to anyone who just got back from a long day at work.

500 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served at cellar temperature in a tulip glass. GUSHER.

App.: Deep copper with a so-so tan head. Aroma: A ton of fruit aroma, some strawberry jam/compote/candy, other berry notes, some old apple juice, thick malt notes reminiscent of a Scotch Ale (I think...), some Brown Ale nutty and earthy notes, British-style malts meet...well, strawberries. Palate: Medium body, fairly relaxed effervescence. Flav.: Overripe strawberries, stewed/jammed strawberries, more of that British-like earthy/nutty malt, follows the nose well; dry with a little bitterness and some balanced tang and a biscuit, bread crust, toast finish with a little berry fruitiness.

A bit different from the usual fruit beers thanks to the heavier base brew.

Bottle: Poured a hazy reddish color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of fresh strawberry is quite astonishing and well balanced with light cereal notes. Taste is refreshing with good notes of freshly picked strawberry, balanced sweetness and some solid cereal notes. Body is full with good carbonation and no apparent alcohol. Very nice fruit beer and a lot more refreshing and complex then I had anticipated.

Pours a dark red with a slight brown tinge. Off white top. Aroma is strawberry and yeast. Taste is astringent fruity with a sweet malt. Too astringent and not sweet enough for me.
