3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 glennmastrange (1907) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - APR 4, 2012
Bottle. Moderate malt and hop aromas of cereal and caramel, flowers and spruce, faint soap for the yeast, with hints of dried fruit. Head is small, frothy, off-white with good lacing and is mostly diminishing. Color is medium amber/tan. Flavor starts moderately acidic and finishes lightly to moderately acidic and bitter. Palate is on the lighter side of medium, watery with a fizzy carbonation. Well balanced aromas and fantastic flavors in this American Pale Ale.

As probstk put it so well "salt and vinegar chips" - Exactly. Aroma and taste. Tx to SlovakSniper for the experience. Poured out what appears to be a faintly hazy solid amber brew in the wonderful lighting which is my basement - 40 zillion light fixtures and 3 working bulbs. Foamed up pretty good - large light tan slippery lacing later on but any pour creates a hearty ring. The nose is bizarre. S & V chips.. is there something wrong here? somewhat caramelly, sugars, I don’t get it. There is some bitterness in the back of the sips, more chips, faint pine, light citrus, this does get moderately better after a lengthy sit as does the aroma but still... Some fruit, caramel sort of. Creamy carbonation as more of the APA peers out from whatever dungeon holds it. More fruity now but it still has this oddness that I cannot nail down. Decent mouth feel. I didn’t dig this beer. I’m down to the last sips and it is finally going to a place I thought it would start out at. In fact, it is getting much better but much better only to a point of subpar. Great label!
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 cfrancis (1808) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 20, 2011
Pours a deep amber with a nice frothy white head. Aroma is grain, slight hop and cereal. Taste is great. Cereal, hop with a low bitterness. But a great malt profile for a pale ale.

64 oz growler. Dark copper pour, yellowish head. Aroma is spicy, floral, I like the tea comment I saw previously. Some resin, some toffee like malt too. Taste is quite green, leafy resiny hops but not overly bitter. Well calibrated. Finish is bitter and pretty long, a well done low alcohol IPA.

Bottle at home, from my Minneapolis Town Hall glass. Pours deep orange with a garnet flash. Moderate to thick off-white head, decent lacing. Nose is grassy hops, some grapefruit, some lemon. Flavours of spicy grapefruit, preserved lemon, and dried orange rind, along with a bit of spicy yeast, and a full, oily, malt presence. Decent, but eminently forgettable.
3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 DeanF (1602) - Nunavut, CANADA - JAN 8, 2011
Nice extra-large off-white head and a clear bright amber body. Soft aroma of malts with just a hint of hoppiness. Flavour is smooth maltiness with a dry hoppy finish. Simple but very drinkable, and well made.

500 mL bottle. Clear copper with a small beige head. Mild aroma of floral hops. Flavour is better than the aroma, and more complex. More pineapple and citrus than the nose, and there is almost an Alt note to the malt profile. Quite interesting. Solid body.
3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20 sseb69 (1265) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - MAY 1, 2011
Bouteille 500 ml. 5.6%. Ambrée claire, mousse blanche abondante. Arôme de houblon frais, de malt caramélisés. En bouche, douce et bonne. Notes de malt grillé et de houblon floral. Finale avec une amertume qui invite. Très bonne pale ale.
3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 tom10101 (1166) - Quebec, CANADA - FEB 13, 2013
Bottle (500 ml). Bottle November 13th 2012, so this one is 4 month old (crap, didn’t saw it when I bought it). Clear amber with a small fully lasting white head and small lacing. Aroma is of citrus along with floral notes and slight caramel. Hops are faded though. Taste is slightly sweet with a lot of citrus, floral/herbal notes and slight caramel. Herbal finish. Slight but sticky bitterness. Medium body. Slightly watery. Still refreshing and drinkable even with 4-month of age. Pretty decent bottled APA, it’s probably fun too drink (except if it’s a lot more herbal young).
2.9 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Diogène (1055) - Mirabel, Quebec, CANADA - JAN 29, 2011
Bottle. Clear copper with a thick off white head with good retention. Aroma is mostly malty with butterscotch, toasted malt, and a hint of herbal hops. Lacking a lot of hops aroma for an APA. Flavor is hoppier with herbs, apricots and lychees notes, heavy bitterness from the beginning to the aftertaste, with caramel and toasted malt. Medium body. Pretty strange beer, the aroma is unbalanced on the malty side and the flavor is unbalanced on the hops side.
