2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 7/20 Boutip (3467) - Gatineau, - FEB 6, 2010
Growler: Poured a light amber color ale with a large foamy head with good retention and surprisingly good lacing. Aroma of light fruity ester and nice Belgian malt with lingering sweetness is unfortunately offset by some major DMS issue. Taste is at first very nice with some good Belgian malt with great ester of fruit and well balanced sweetness but the overcooked vegetable notes are quite atrocious and unfortunately ruin this one for me.

64oz growler. Nice golden body with a huge, diminishing off-white pillowy head. Well balanced malty/hoppy aroma with spicy, grassy, and flowery hints. Taste is dominated by maltiness. It carries hoppy, coriander and grainy notes. Ends with a long bitter/herbal finish. Good effort.

Huge growler... Great beer, very balanced, slightly sweet and pretty spicy beer. The balance between the citrusy refreshing side combined with the intense hopping is probably what makes this beer such a great accomplishment in itself. No alchool striking out so watch out... Worth coming back, several times.
