3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
500ml bottle. Clear, ruby red glowing dark brown colour with average to huge, frothy, effervescent, then rapidly diminishing, minimally lacing, ochre head. Fruity, malty aroma has notes of dark berries, bramble, blueberry, black currant, chocolately background, cautious yeasty overtones. Taste is dry dark malty, minimally roasty, slightly bitter hoppy, slightly fruity, slightly herbal, less explicit hints of dark berries, more earthy, woody, mossy, some peppery yeasty spiciness. Resembles a British Premium Bitter in many areas, especially in its fruit profile, has additionally a Belgian yeasty twist. A nice one.

pours almost clear dark brown with a nice light beige head, some retention and lacing. nutty malts, some dirt and vanilla, lean chocolate malts, hazelnuts, very peppery and spicy - pink peppercorns, roasted coffee beans, grassy, chalky, wee bit of pine and vegetal notes. moderate carbonation, light body - slightly watery, grassy-spicy-peppery-lightly piney-earthy finish. interesting offering.

500ml bottle.. Caramel Brown beer with a regular head quite appealing to the eye. Aroma is caramel sweet and maybe some notes of roasted malt now i’m interested!!
at the first sip you can taste roasted caramelized malt with a small touch of sweetness. Not too effervescent in mouth which is what I expect from that kind of beer .... In overall, quite simple but very well done !! I give it the thumbs up! I really like ’’Le Naufrageur’’ Brewery in general dig for their Gems, definitely they’re worth looking for!!
