My Bottom Line :
This Barrel-Aged Doppelbock showcases caramel flavors and bourbon-laced wood in a silky mouthfeel licked by alcohol warmth.
Further Personal Perceptions :
-A ring of foam surrounds the dark amber.
-Typical Munich malt flavors are partially hidden.
-This isn’t too sweet a sipper, which I appreciate.
-A red pepper tinge must come from the Frontenac malts.
-This 2.5-year-old sample didn’t show many signs of fatigue. Well done!
On tap at the Oktoberfest de Repentigny.
