Een honingbier uit Wallonië. Een goed aroma, zoete voorsmaak en een goede kleur.

250ml bottle bought at BeYummi’s kiosk during "Lan Kwai Fong Beer & Music Fest 2015" in Central.

Cloudy hazy dirty straw amber colour with a crust of yeast sediments’ Half finger head with crumpety off-white foam which lasts for 1 minute; Excellent sticky lacing and near zero carbonation; Quite fragrant and sweet aroma of malt, with strong honey, floral nectar, light plum, faint vanilla and Bel yeast; Medium sweet taste of moderate malt, with strong honey, molasses, faint dark fruits, light caramel, Bel yeast, light lime, light bitter hops and thin grass; Medium body. Slick and quite creamy palate; Mouth feel is fair maltyness in a smooth and thick body. Strong honey in the background throughout. Sweetness is medium but just right, not much fruityness, warming alcohol hidden quite well. Okay… Hoppiness is floral in nose. Light lime and thin grass in taste. Bitterness is notable and moderate for a lasting, fairly astringent honey-sweet finish; Slightly dry after taste. Creamy and easy to mouth.

Comments: I like how the honey is manifested in its aroma and taste, which is solid, lasting with flowery tone but not cloying. Other than its creamy taste, there’s not much elements too offer. Solid and simple, a decent one to enjoy.

Amber with small off white head. Minimal bitterness mixed with some sourness and honey sweetness. And waterness - too much, otherwise could be very good.

At Delirium Vilage. Specific honey taste and aroma. Therefore, a very specific one.

Pours clear, amberblonde, good white head. Smell is fithy, sweat and honey. Yuck ! Taste is equally bad. Like honey has gone expired and started to rot. I was not capable of taking a second sip.... What the hell was the brewer thinking when this was finished? he must have known this was awefull...

Birra a trazione anteriore.

Bottle from Sugaya. Nose of yeast, honey, and wine-infused sourish fruit. Hazy orange/honey color, thin head. Lightly tart fruit, sourish pickle-like mid palate. Flavor diminish quickly. Thin and lightly dry finish. Thin and tangy. Hmm... (drink-by date was a month ago) whatever flavors were there... ain’t any longer. Disappointing.

Saison-like honey beer for Les 4 Pavés. Very firm, rocky, off-white, sticky, stable head, colour soft peach blonde with yellow hue, hazy. Versatile aroma, unusual, with honey of course, but also caramel, ginger, earth, tomato, dry white wine, hops, lemon, mint. Fruity, sweetish taste, soft mouthfeel, honey subtly dressed over the palate but not too dominant and balanced by a ’wild’ sourishness, spicy yeastiness and dry, hoppy finish. Honey beers should not be cloyingly sweet in spite of what the name suggests, and this is a very fine example in my personal view - as are other Wallonian honey beers like Saint-Monon au Miel or (obviously) Dupont Bière de Miel.

In een klein winkeltje in Dinant gekocht. Niet slecht, maar helemaal niets speciaals aan dit bier.
