Deep burnt malt taste with a very nice balance between the hops and malt. Pleasant but with some subtle flavours hidden within.

Draft. They even threw in a marshmallow very strange concept but it works. Pours a black body with a dark tan head. Malty and cordial like in terms of sweetness. Creme de caco, coco, mint chocolate notes. Coffee liquors, sweet dry stout with nice vanilla and whiskey notes. Delicious beers.

On tap at the brewpub in Montreal. Pours a totally black color with a medium brown head. A sweet roasted coffee nose. The flavor is a milky coffee brew, some roast and vanilla. Nice.

has an okay dark brown body and minimal head. almost no aroma. flavour is sweet barley with fruity notes - plum, prune it seems. just all right, and made a lot worse by the super rude waitress at the brewpub!

Mondiale 2010. Pours a deep dark near pitch black with mocha head. Aroma is sweet licorice, kahlua liquor, coffee, roasted barley some dark chocolate, ash, cocoa powder, and vanilla. Flavor is dark chocolate, big big flavored chocolate tobacco, earthy, spicy, leather, sweet, light cherry flavored tobacco/cigar wrapper, plums, and other fruits, cherry pits, lactose sweetness in the end. Ok.

Tap at the brewery. Great beer. Aromas of caramel, milky chocolate, and a hint of grass. Taste is sweet, with a bitter background. Palate is velvety, with a medium body. Black, with a thin frothy head.

Taster at Bieres et Saveurs Chambly 2010. The color is black with a dark beige head. This stout is served with a marshmallow that gives it a sweet taste. The aroma is of coffee and roasted malt. The taste that is sweetend by the marshmallow is still of roasted coffee beans, malt and added hops. The aftertaste is bitter sweet, this was something new and very pleasant.

Tap. Pours clear black with an average, rocky tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (chocolate, roasted, coffee), light hops (woody), and light esters (fruity) with notes of raisins, dates, and vanilla. Flavor is heavy malt (chocolate, roasted, coffee, cookie), light hops (woody), and light esters (fruity) with notes of prunes and vanilla. Full body, medium warmth, low carbonation, medium-low creaminess with a lightly sweet finish.
