(Cask at brewpub) Black body topped by a long-lasting medium beige head. Something wrong here. The creamy body is pleasant and has the expected smooth mouthfeel given the style and the fact it is on Cask. The beer was not very tasty. Some figs and dates with plain roasted malts flavours and very little of the advertised smoke. Some leafy hops adds a little twist to this otherwise simple beer. Could have been good but the whole thing was ruined by a meaty flavour. Medium-rare steak flavour doesn’t belong in a beer anymore than Rastacouere belongs in a Hummer.

Robe brune très foncée claire surmontée d’une mousse beige. Arômes de café et de malt fumé. Saveurs de saumon fumé et de caramel. Texture crémeuse.

Arome de malt chocolat et arome léger de fumé. Couleur noir dense, col de mousse mince, mais compact qui colle bien au verre. Goût de fumé faible, et moyen de torréfaction. Très intéressant, car pas trop puissant sur le malt fumé. Comme servi cask, pratiquement aucune effervescence, bière moyennement capiteuse en bouche. J’ai bien aimé !
