Ordinaire! hopscotch (4477), Vero Beach, Florida, USA May 4, 2006 Draft... Clear, yellow ale with a small, creamy, white head. The nose and flavor are all butterscotch and butter. Tons of diacetyl. Well-balanced. Light-bodied with a buttery mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Finishes buttery, but crisp. I don’t mind diacetyl so much, but this beer is like melted butter in almost every way. jerc (3114), Toronto, Ontario, Canada May 1, 2006 Entering this here for now, I thought it just simply said Blonde on the menu. Deep yellow body with a tiny white head. Huge buttery diacytl aroma, with dilute caramel is sort of pleasant but probably inappropriate. This is echoed in the flavour with a mild astringent bitterness that is kind of rough. Average palate. Meh. BückDich (4540), Boise, Idaho, USA Aug 24, 2005 Draught at the brewpub Light haze, no head, no lacing. Nose of diacetyl and lots of popcorn, vanilla, caramel butter and pain. The flavor is nutty, still, the flood gates of Diacetyl-mountain are raining down my palate. Good on occasion but this not be it.
