Glouglouburp (2113), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 1, 2007 The look: Clear golden copper with a little white ring of foam.
The style: Raspberry beer
The stuff: Aroma of artificial raspberries soft-drinks/energy drinks. Taste feels just as fake. Sugary raspberry-flavoured industrial cake/candy, medium sweetness, light plastic taste. Finish is papery and dry. Almost no sourness. I’m sure no fresh raspberries were used to make this beer, probably just extract/concentrate. It ended-up feeling totally fake. This Montreal brewpub business has been going down these past few years and if they continue brewing boring beers like that, very soon Osama Bin Laden will be able to use the pub as a hiding place.
The how: On tap at brewpub
The conclusion: Mostly bad. Overall artificial taste.
