COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

500ml bottle poured in weizen glass around 6 degrees. Pours a deep mohagany with a huge frothy white head. Carbonation is timid, but retention is excellent. The nose is roasted malts, almonds, caramel and earthy hops. The taste is sweet with caramel, toasted nuts, and fresh with earthy hops. A nice red ale with a good density and a nice finish.

I’m not quite sure why this beer gets such a bad rap. Pour is typical amber with two fingers of beige cap with good retention. Nose is caramel, light and roasted grain, cherry, hazelnuts and earthy hops. Taste is fairly typical amber malt, but there’s a nice bit of fruit and nuttiness, as well as a bit of satisfying bitterness on the finish. A touch of lingering metal aftertaste, and a touch watery, but overall this was better than I expected.

Very dense barley candy aromas mixed with caramel, suggests a very malty product-sweet product. Beautiful ruby-brown colour; head mildly persistent. Dense and voluptuous for a 4.8% beer. Barley persists and dominates, with strong hints of barley candy but without the sweetness (that’s where I believe this product makes a great one). Texture is both round and dry. Semi-dry finish, just enough to create a lingering aftertaste. Highly drinkable, very light in the stomach but packed with flavors. Best Irish red in the province to my knowledge.

Bottle. Smoky, tropical and citrus hops with faint caramel. Almost clear wispy white cover. Not very delicious, spicy soda water and faint earthy hops. Medium carbonation, light body, crisp.

Bottle 500ml. Pours amber with medium beige head. Nice lacing. Aroma is of malt, caramel, nuts. Taste is of roasted malt, caramel, malt, strong bitterness, nuts, sugar, vegetal. Palate: Medium body. Low-medium carbonation. Silky mouthfeel. Nice body. Overall: On the malty side. Good.
