COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

gusher - again, 3 out of 3 brews from them. pours hazy, almost cloudy light brown-golden orange with a towering off-white head, good retention. metallic, co2, spices, some caramel and dark fruits, spicy hops, some sweetness - a tad too much. bubbly - not aggressive, medium body, decent grassy-peppery-spicy finish. meh.

500 ml bottle from Broue Ha Ha, served cool in a tulip glass.

App.: Deep copper/mahogany with a nice orange-brown-tan head. Aroma: Rich, sweet, boozy maltiness, plenty of dark dried fruits, some light minty herbals, nice yeasty character, very inviting. Palate: Medium body, full, velvety effervescence. Flav.: Plenty of big, rich, sweet malts, dark dried fruits, a touch of minty herbals, playful esters, a touch of citrus brightness, plenty of caramel and toffee, some booze, quite affable; almost dry with limited bitterness and a long, sweet, boozy, fruity finish.

I continue to be impressed by this brewer. Not top-notch for the style, but very nice.

500 ml bottle from flaveurs d’ici A : caramel, nutty, cherry, fig a bit of solvent. App: clear brown small white head. T/p: full body finish is sweet and medium long. Carbonation is average. O: fair the aroma has a little something that bothers me.

Bottle - 500ml. Hazy brown body with a thin off-white frothy head. Good malty/hoppy aroma with honeyish and flowery hints. Taste carries honeyish, brown sugar, and fruity notes. It ends with a sweet, warming finish. Not bad.

Aroma: Malted notes of caramel, sugar cane, reminding me jelly beans. We can also find notes of honey ,brown sugar and molasses. Alcohol is also present and supporting. A very powerful nose with sweet accents. Appearance: Brown and hazy, average creamy head that sticks well on glass with a bit of lacing. Taste: Attack is full caramel, all over, with notes of toffee, honey, molasses. Sugar everywhere. Just too much. We’re missing some bitterness to lift up all that sugar. Unbalanced. Those who like very sweet beers will love it.

500 ml bottle. Pours a dark, clear, orange brownish amber with a short-lasting white head. Smell is caramel and fruits. Taste is very fruity (dark fieldberries), cake. Some very sharp, herbal bitterness in the finish. Light bodied. There are much better, less costly dubbels on the market...

It’s a beer to try caramel, bread, nuts/woody, buttery, alcohol, hazy, tan foam, brown and red, medium sweetness, medium body, flat Would be good with somw brownies or pretzels. Maybe that it would fit great with Le Pleine Lune from Fromagerie 1860, or another kind of buttery cheese, like le Bleu de Saint-Elizabeth.
