Appearance: Golden orange with a glorious white head. Aroma: Smoke, bacon, maple, pepper - such bacon notes! Like a bbq in a glass. Flavour: Bacon, maple, smoke, just lovely!

[2254-20090606] Sample. Smoked ham aroma. Clear, golden amber body with a quick foamy off-white head. Smoky ham flavour has lots of malt then after is smoky. Medium body. Weird pork notes, but good.

An amber ale with a thin off white head. A nice malty aroma with light peated notes. In mouth, a good malty racuh with light peated notes, smooth and mineral. Medium bodied. On tap at Mondiale 2009.

MJGG (951) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 20, 2009

On tap at the Brouhaha, amber-orangeish color, with a white head, ashen, smoked malt nose, with a peaish vegetable accent, hints of smoked ham and mussels, with a faint floral hop leafy aroma follows through on a medium-bodied palate with a toasted, peaish smoked malt character, with a faint mussel smokiness accent, and some flowery hop leafy notes, leading towards a smoky, lingering hop bitterness finish.

aroma of smoke, bbq, and bacon. Palate is avergae, more smokey notes, and some sausage.

2009-06-06. Dark amber body is essentially headless. Smokey pulled pork and bbq aroma. Flavour is fairly mild, touch of smokey undertones that have a subtle layer that I am not fully appreciating. Average palate. Average beer that is lost on me with the smokey character. Meh. On tap at Mondial 2009, Montreal

Pours a clear copper color with a thin white head. Very pleasant aroma of smoked malt that leaves an image of smoked ham in my mind. Very good flavor of smoked ham, there’s a strong malt presence in there and mild hops. The body is medium with a creamy texture and soft carbonation.

20 oz imperial pint on tap at Vices et Versa in Montreal. Aroma is a touch sour, acetic with some definite smoked malts present. Bacon aromas, etc that lead this beer to be quite quaffable. Attractive transparent amber-copper body with a frothy off-white head and nice lacing present. Smoked malty, chewy start which becomes a bit acidic and astringent. Finishes with a nice bitter, grassy, hoppiness. Very late, burnt, roasted maltiness. A very solid rauchbier.
