My Bottom Line:
Pineapple groves and flower petals thrive within this White IPA’s summery profile, while coniferous hop bitterness slowly takes hold of the slender and bubbly palate.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A gorgeous cumulus of foam covers the initially misty gold. Nice flocculation here, as the last glass is full of yeast while the first was nearly clear.
-Effervescence and relative dryness make this beer instantly festive.
-Drinkability is through the roof for a 6.5% brew.
-Some green pears appear here and there.
-The coniferous bitterness is lengthy yet balanced with the fruity perfume.

Bottles and on tap at the brewpub.

Bottle released last week. Cloudy pale gold, spectacular rocky white head - abundant wheat and hops will do that to you. Tree and exotic fruits capture your attention from the start line, building up a juicy flavour profile with tuoches of earth occasionally sneaking in. At this hop level, the wheat is almost irrelevant, albeit it may very well be emphasizing the drinkability to another level. Very clean fermentation. Hard to decipher any esters amidst the potent aromatic hops, but there certainly is a lot of fruity flavours with a one way ticket to your brain. The bitterness climbs sip after sip; I had an initial feeling that it was actually kept in check, but it is definitely quite bitter in the end, just that there are plenty of aromas to match, so it does not feel one-dimensional nor a useless slap in the face. While it may not be mind-bending like the very top offerings from TDD, it is another extremely high quality beverage here, and the high drinkability make it all see so easy. Neat clean palate, cleasing engaging carbonation, relatively lean while feeling complete. Great job.

600 ml bottle in tulip glass. Color is cloudy golden yellow with a pale, white frothy head. Aromas are grapefruit, lichee, conifers with a touch of grains and Belgian yeast. Flavours are mainly tropical fruits. Citrus, grapefruit, mango, bonbon. A resinous hoppy aftertaste. Belgian yeast notes and grains are there but stay in the background. Quite high carbonation. Highly quaffable and drinkable!

Bon travail!

Bottle 600ml. Pours slightly hazy blond with medium beige head. Intense lacing. Aroma is of citrus, tropical fruits. Taste is of citrus, tropical fruits, strong bitterness, resin, slight phenols? Palate: Light-medium body. Medium carbonation. Overall: Pretty good. Pretty bitter. Lots of resin/vegetal stuff.

Corps moyen, Carbonation moyenne. Excellente IPA Blanche!

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2014 On tap at Bateau de Nuit a while back. Pours a light golden with a thin white head that offers good lacing. Nose is fruity x piny, tropical. Taste is of citrusy hops and only lightly sweet. Mouthfeel is juicy. Carbonation was medium and it was light to medium bodied. Nice one! Not sure what I would change in this recipe really so I’m not sure what is up with the score, I’ll revisit. (3.8)

Now released in bottles! Woohoo! Pours hazy yellow with a medium and creamy white head that leaves really good lacing. Nose is peppery and maybe a little skunky. It is fruity and feels fresh overall. Taste is moderately bitter and only lightly sweet, offers some fresh cereals and tropical fruits. Pils? Yeah, pils. Finish is bitter and herbal, of a good length. Body is light to medium, carbonation pretty high but this fits well with the witbier style I guess. Pretty good! (3.6)
