It is a skillful blend, 40% of which is brewed in Buteuse Brassin Special, Dulcis Succubus and Bretteuse barrels, 40% is from sour rye aged in Banyuls barrels and 20% of which is from young Saison beer. The nose is evocative of a Flanders red, with slightly acidic notes of cherry. The palate is sharp, dry and slightly oxidized, leaving a sweet, fruity taste on the tongue which is immediately followed by a vinous finish reminiscent of great classical beers.

Awesome! Initially a bit of a gusher, pours light orange with a finger of foamy head that sticks around quite a bit, limited lacing. Nose is a bit vinegar and some fruit. Notes of peach, vinegar, yeast funk. Taste is light sweet and medium sour. Full body with lively carbonation, long sour aftertaste. Beauty!

February 28, 2014. 750mL bottle at WVRST. Sour vinegar aroma. Lovely lacing. Golden colour. White head. Quite mild tasting given the aroma. Sour cherries, very light and refreshing.

Pours saturated golden with a small flufy white head. Nice mix of funky aromas dominated by a strong acidic note. Light body, moderately sour, acetic acid, bit of barnyard. Not as explosive in mouth as the nose would have tell. Finishes a bit short. Interesting blend altough not totally convincing to me. Have problem putting the finger on what I don’t enjoy in this beer (acidic note, lack of complexity) as much as what I do enjoy in this beer (overall flavor profile...).
