jercraigs (8153) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 10, 2013
2013-05-31. Black body with a modest tan head. 4+ Aroma of dry roasty malt, sweeter dark malt undertones. Flavour is relatively dry, dusty malt, light roast. Much drier than expected from a Baltic porter. Average bodied palate is a bit light , modest carbonation. Bit light for the style. Enjoyable but not a great example of a Baltic porter. Pretty decent. On tap at Mondial de la Biere 2013, Montreal

Mondial 2013. Hoppy black beer, lacy. Good drinkability. More like a black IPA than a porter.

A deep dark porter with a thin mocha head. In aroma, sweet chocolate with peaty notes, licorice, and grassy notes. In mouth, a sweet licorice chocolate with burned caramel, grassy character, alcohol warmth.

BiereLuc (999) - Montréal, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 1, 2013
Bière noire avec un nez de grains grillés et de café. En bouche, c’est encore le goût de grillé qui domine avec une belle balance amertume / sucre résiduel.
