4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle. Gold pour with frothy white head and good lacing. Aroma of stonefruit, peaches, apple, light bretty notes, crisp, oak notes.Taste is beautifully balanced, fruity with earthy/mushroom undertones, brett, peaches, smooth but flavorful spicy brett finish. Palate is super dry and well carbed. A delicate, elegant and easy-drinking beer that carries quite a bit of flavor nonetheless - excellent.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours slightly hazy copper orange with a generous creamy white head. Very fruity aromas of tart fruits, berries, with an acidic note. Medium body, lively carbonation, fruity, tangy, ends on a strong bitter note with acetic acid distracting the overall balance of the brett itself. Pretty good.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
750 mL bottle at a Trou du Diable barrel-aged tasting at Volo, served in a stem glass. Pours hazy orange-golden with large off-white head that remains and laces well. The nose has slightly sour fruit, must, grass and oak. The flavour is quite dry with oak, Brett and sour pale fruit with a touch of barnyard. There is a mild hoppiness but it is overwhelmed by Brett and barrel. The finish is long, spicy, funky and slightly sour. On the palate it is medium in body with a dryish texture and average carbonation. Overall a decent barrel aged saison but the IPA does not come through like I would hope. 2013-05-25

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Nice dry crackery bretta feel. Orange pour with nice lacing and head. Finishes with bitterness and sourness. Some malt here but hops are rather overtaken by bretta. Some sour apricot. Bottle at Volo for Zwanze Day.

pours hazy golden orange with a frothy and creamy off-white head, excellent retention and lacing. leathery bretts, strong fruity esters - peaches, apricots, red wine barrel along with their acidity, good funk dose. bone-dry finish. moderate to low carbonation - constant and small bubbles, light body and acidity - bit of acetic, über-dry grassy-spicy-grapefruity finish. awesome!

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
750 ml bottle, huge thanks to Jeff at Farmhouse!! Cloudy peach pour with a solid frothy white head. Nose and flavor bring big vinous tartness with some lactic yogurt tang, unripe peach, tannic grape and plum, some grapefruit hops, along with some vanilla, bready yeast, and tangerine. Crisp, bone dry, and quenching. Another badass, limited bottle release from Trou du Diable. Not quite as incredible as the Brassin Special Buteuse, but this stuff is seriously legit.
