3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 Beershine (4754) - The Sunshine State, USA - FEB 28, 2010
Bottle shared by Presario. Warm amber, a very nice bright color with a scant head. Slight pedio is manageable in the aroma. Perfume and saison character with plenty of spice, egg shells, persimmon, and pomelo--not quite citrus. Great palate with good quaffability. Solid carbonation. Citrusy hop flavors are excellent, reminiscent of a Belgian-style IPA. Persimmon again, and pomelo pitch. Astringent with nice lingering persimmon on the tongue, dry, gets better with every sip.

Bottle thanks to Savvy1982! Clear dark yellow pour, a little lasting head and a slightly sweet pear and funky aroma. Flavor was also slightly sweet pear, apples, nice malty balance and finished with a hint of funk. Very nice, I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on another bottle of this.
4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20 tom10101 (211) - Quebec, CANADA - APR 2, 2012
Bottle 750 ml. Appearance: Pours hazy golden with a small fully diminishing white head. Aroma: Tons of fruits. Brett, acidity, apple. Taste: Fruits (mostly apple), brett, alcohol. Overall: A combination of that much fruits, with brett and apple brandy barrel aging make this one a very unique beer. Again, a great product from Trou du Diable.

Flavour: Funky, tangy orange, brandy, marmalade, again, lots of Orval notes, tremendous yeast, wood and sour finish. Just lovely.
4.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20 PatIrish (136) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 26, 2012
Lovely pale gold with a soft light head. Scents of cinnamon, nutmeg, cranberries, brandy. A crisp, tart, mildly sour sensation on the palate. Finishes with a slight ginger ale aspect along with peach, apricot and honey.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 bmerz (233) - New York, USA - FEB 21, 2012
750 mil - A really lovely beer I hope I see again to buy on site. Orange clear beer in a wine glass. A thin head quickly dissipates. Smells of brett and ripe oranges. Taste is medium sweet and mildly bitter and apple or pear rhubarb crisp with citrus. Mouthfeel is oily but ends with an astringency
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Minderbinder (173) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 18, 2012
Bottle 750 ml. 2011.
Pours hazy amber. White head, fully diminishing. Ligth carbonatation. Smells of small fruits, and a little acidic. Apples? Tastes small fruits, really interesting combination of fruits, very well balenced bitterness. Explosion of fruits in the mouth. Special taste, kinda mysterious. Is it caused by the use of 3 kind of yeast, or use of apple brandy barrels? Hides very well its alchool. A very good beer.
4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Ferfie (253) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - FEB 5, 2012
Pours hazy amber, with small things floating about, and streaming up with the carbonation. Nice white tight fluffy head that’s about, 1 inch high. Smell is quite funky. Some cider vinegar, crab apple, lemon zing, Lightest wood character, little bit of a brie kind of rind. Light amount of liquid from a jar of sour cherries. Holy shit is the taste spot on. Slight yeast, light soft lemon, cheese – again kind of like a brie, very soft funk, but also a little bit stronger, not quite bleu. Wood character is stronger in the taste, but it rounds out the taste amazingly, just adds a softening kind of character to the beer. The tartness isn’t half as present as it was in the nose, but still that slight vinegary kind of zing. The sweetness is very subdued, the alcohol is slightly present, but just barely, no burn, just oomph. Body is thinner, with wonderful carbonation, it’s like licking velvet. This is an exceptionally soft and drinkable wild yeast beer, but is not lacking any complexity.

750ml bottle pours a pale amber color with a huge white head that lasts a while and eventually settles to some thin lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits with some caramel malts and yeast with a bit of oak. Taste is light fruitiness with some caramel malts and yeast with a bold herbal hoppy bitterness and oak in the finish. Medium to heavy body with adequate carbonation leaving a nice touch on the palate. A very well done brew for this style, recommended for others to give this one a try.
4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20 Jool (64) - - JAN 15, 2012
Bouteille 750ml.
