(printemps 2007)

Cask at Cask Days 2012. Tenth beer of the fest. Pours a cloudy copper with a large long-lasting frothy off-white head. Mild aroma is slightly fruity at first, and upon further sniffing it becomes an interesting fruity-spicy-sour-yeasty hybrid, it just gets better and better. Flavour is hops first followed by tropical fruit and caramel malt. Decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good, it has a really nice aroma but only an average flavour.

A golden amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, smooth biscuit malt with light German hops, mineral notes. In mouth, a nice smooth herbal biscuit malt with smooth herbal German hops, nice. On tap at Oktoberfest des Québécois 2012, Sept. 8 2012.

Aroma: medium bold with frontal sweet malts . fruity with blend of leafy, citrusy hops. Finish malty once more. 7+
Appearance: poured as amber gold , murky in appearance. Large lasting cap. Some lace noted.
Taste/Palate/Body: sweet malts up front. Clean yeast with floral hop profile. Slightly tart. Smooth character with delicate carbonation. Medium bodied. Wet finish. Very nice brew.

Light amber. Slightly hazy and with lots of sparkle. Slightly caramelly aroma. Low bitterness, light toastiness. Seems like their basic beer. Well-made for what it is.

Draft at brewpub. Light amber orange, lively with rising bubbles and stable cap. Natural malty aroma, nutty with fun granola notes. Soft palate and gentle carbonation. Finish is reminiscent of French amber ales, with good balance, toffee, and a lingering hop finish. Very nice. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap at the brewpub. This beer is back with a new rap I think (last ratings date from the brewery’s first year, in 2006). Cloudy gold pour with an amber tint, covered by creamy white foam. Tons of butterscotch and honey in the nose, much sweeter than I was expecting and with a bit of upsetting diacetyl, no hop aroma to speak of if not for a slight floral presence. Taste is more interesting as the caramel/toffee/butterscotch and honey really add layers of nice sweet complexity to this beer. Hops are missed here as well though, but the beer doesn’t taste cloyingly sweet. Palate is average and enjoyable, smooth carbonation with a full, warming body. Much different than I expected, interesting style, kind of a good winter pint beer.

Originally rated October 2006 at the pub. Pours a golden colour with a slight orange to it. The head leaves a bit of lace and a ring stays around. Very mild fruit perfume aroma. This beer has a thicker mouthfeel than most brews of this type. Grainy start with a fruity finish. Quite interesting and original taste, just a tad light though.
