pours hazy pale golden (barely an amber, but eh) with a nice white head, some retention and lacing. pale cereals - lightly honeyed, bread, herbs, grass, spicy and light floral notes. average carbonation, light body - fairly malted, grassy-herbal-spicy-citrusy pils-like crisp finish. simple and effective.

On tap at Bateau de Nuit. Pours a clear copper with a low head that still offer great lacing. Aroma is lightly herbal along with some light caramel notes. Taste is dry and a little empty, this isn’t complex at all at least. Maybe some light fruity and caramel notes and that’s all. The herbal finish saves it from being boring, though. Carbonation level was too high on this one. This was OK but not outstanding at all.

Not bad. Pours clear gold without much head or lacing. Small aroma of hops but mostly on the malty side if things. Soft carbonation on cask. Light bitter finish. Ok. Had at Wvrst.

On cask at WVRST. Hazy dark amber with a thin frothy beige head. Light aroma of fruity hops. Taste has spices (notably pepper) mixed with some fruits. Love that cask mouthfeel!

October 27, 2012 - 8th Annual Volo Cask Days. Very hazy slightly amber-tinged yellow with a solid but diminishing frothy off-white bubbly head (4-). Actually smells like a mead with some grassy bitterness; some alcohol, wildflowers, honey; very soft and not obnoxiously sweet aroma (7+). Taste follows, some sourness, straw bitterness with a hint of cardamom. Chewy, still and astringent - bitterness builds in the finish. Odd, pretty good.

(printemps 2007)

Cask at Cask Days 2012. Tenth beer of the fest. Pours a cloudy copper with a large long-lasting frothy off-white head. Mild aroma is slightly fruity at first, and upon further sniffing it becomes an interesting fruity-spicy-sour-yeasty hybrid, it just gets better and better. Flavour is hops first followed by tropical fruit and caramel malt. Decent bitter finish. Medium bodied. Pretty good, it has a really nice aroma but only an average flavour.

A golden amber ale with a thin lacing off white head. In aroma, smooth biscuit malt with light German hops, mineral notes. In mouth, a nice smooth herbal biscuit malt with smooth herbal German hops, nice. On tap at Oktoberfest des Québécois 2012, Sept. 8 2012.

Aroma: medium bold with frontal sweet malts . fruity with blend of leafy, citrusy hops. Finish malty once more. 7+
Appearance: poured as amber gold , murky in appearance. Large lasting cap. Some lace noted.
Taste/Palate/Body: sweet malts up front. Clean yeast with floral hop profile. Slightly tart. Smooth character with delicate carbonation. Medium bodied. Wet finish. Very nice brew.
