(10475-150514)

On tap at the brewpub. Hazy burnt orange with a thin frothy off-white head. Flavors are tropical fruits, citrus, sweet malts, honey, resinous hops and alcohol. Medium to full body, moderate carbonation, sticky texture.

On tap at Bar Hop. Super cloudy yellow, thin white head. Aroma of juicy fruity hops and sweet malt. Sweet fruity taste with raisins and white wine grapes, and a bitter boozy finish. Medium-bodied.

On tap @ Blind Tiger, New York. Pours hazy orange with a creamy finger thick head. Aroma is nice and sweet with peach and apricot. Body is creamy with soft carbonation. Flavour is bitter with orange peel, as well as apricots and grain. Nice lingering bitter finish, with notes of grapefruit and orange peel.

Cask at TdD Tap Takeover, Wvrst, May 26. Pours a hazy yellow-orange with a small bubbly white head. Lovely aroma, dry, fruity and hoppy -- simple and awesome. Flavour of fruit and hops along with some alcohol -- it’s there but not 10%. Medium bodied. Aroma is amazing, the flavour is really good.

Cask at Volo. Don’t know if I’ve ever had a cask IIPA before. Interesting what it does. The low to non-existant carbonation allows the hop flavours to come out. This beer has a very interestingly fruity flavour.. It’s almost candy-like, which is balanced by the bitterness. Really unique tasting. Not terribly complex, and I don’t know what it would be like from a keg, but from the cask this is an interesting beer.

Tap at Volo
Aroma tad musky, mellow muted notes. Malty with hints of honey. Ending with apricot fruit.6+
Appearance hazed amber even murky. Medium sized fine creamy off white top. 3+.
Flavor and Palate : strange front , bit astringent. Fruity feel , bit like ripe tropical mix. Dry alcohol on top. Still bit raw. Better softer backing.

Jool (183) - - APR 6, 2013
