Bottle (600 ml). Split 2-ways with the lady. Thanks to Minderbinder for the bottle!

Appearance: Cloudy orange with a medium slowly diminishing white head and good lacing.

Aroma: Tropical fruits (pineapple mainly) with resin, dank hops and alcohol. Interesting.

Taste: Cloying sweetness with alcohol, herbal notes, dank hops and medium bitterness. If it wasn’t of the bright fruitiness (tropical fruits), there would not be much that I like in that taste.

Palate: Medium to full body. Moderate carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Fruity and bitter finish.

Overall: If you have a bottle, drank it fresh because when the tropical fruits are gone you don’t want to drink this beer (or at least, I don’t). The aroma is interesting and the fruity hops are well showcased, but otherwise it’s a Double IPA that is too sweet for my liking, too boozy and I found it hard to enjoy. Limited drinkability.

Slightly hazed golden orang pour with white foam. Dank citrus hop nose. A lot of tangerine in particular. Some melon, pineapple, and pine. Slight grassiness. Flavor is pretty juicy and fruity. A lot of melon and some tropical fruits. Good citrus rind bitterness. Maybe a hint of lime, some grapefruit, and sweet tangerine. Pretty solid.

Bottle 600ml. Thx Yves. Pours dark golden with low-medium whitish head. Minimal lacing. Aroma is of sulfur, citrus, fruits, resin. That sulfur looks like a mixed aroma of some hops features (like the world-renouned citra cat pee), propelled by the alcohol. Not sure what is the yeast’s role in there. Taste is more regular, with citrus, resin, pine, fruits, bitterness, some malt and sweetness. Alcohol. Palate: Medium- (full?) bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: Good, but not stellar. The nose is problematic, whatever be the reason.

Pours a lightly hazy golden with a medium white head that leaves good lacing. Nose is of onions with some tropical fruits angles. I must say that I am not digging this one at all. Taste is bitter to a medium-high level and pretty malty, a bit too much so even. Flavors are of caramel, pine, fruits and various sugars. I mean, I know it is a DIPA, does it mean it should be less drinkable because of that? A lot of the top tier double IPAs rely more of clean hop aromas and flavors, that’s the way I like it. Alcohol is pretty well hidden but rears its head in the finish. Body is medium and carbonation pretty high and prickly. Overall this was drinkable but not even close to be world class.
