750ml bottle. So I looked back through the ratings and everyone seems to love this and no one gave it less than a 3, but I didnít like it at all. In fact, I gave some to 4 other people and none of them liked it either. Maybe I had a bad bottle or something, or we arenít sophisticated enough beer snobs yet. All I got from the aroma and taste were fungus and sweet and sour pickle juice. It seemed really well made and looked nice, but I just couldnít taste any of the wood or wine, just pickles.

Bottled 01/12 from Beer Street BK. Orange hazy beer with a diminishing head and little lace. Great label art! Aroma is strongly Brett and sour funk with earth, herbs, green apple, and vinous notes. Additional flavors are lemon, cooling peppermint, yeast, pithy bitterness that rides through the finish and washes over the back sides of the tongue late. The palate is light oily at first but ends dry bitter and tannic and with a yeast tickle. Carbonation is sharp. Really nice and refreshing. Went terribly with a stir fry of kelp, celery seasoned with soy, sesame, garlic, and ginger. But is a very good bright and distinct beer likely suited for the right food.

750ml bottle thanks to Tom10101 - have had many comments about this bottle while it was sitting in the cellar...probably more to do with the illustration but hey whatever gets good beer noticed :) Clear and bubbly light amber with an off white head that settles to about one finger in the glass. Interesting blend of wine, apricot, very mild oak and spice. Moderate to high carbonation, light yet full bodied, some alcohol, citrus comes centre stage with some very light hops and light spice. Overall its slightly sweet, bitter and funky with a hint of sour. Definitely a complex beer that is worth trying.

One of the last beers sampled with Andrew at THEFESTIVAL. Thankfully the brewery reps didnít speak English too well, so when the officers/admins were yelling at everyone to stop serving these bros were still down to party like dads. Pours a cloudy, murky brownish amber with nice, creamy tan lacing. Aroma is wine, citrus fruits, wood and a nice funk. Mouthfeel is very complex with an enormous variety of flavors coming together - wine, wood, funk, tart apricot & peach, spices, vanilla, pepper and a tough of honey.

Cloudy, amber and with a big head. Fun aroma - woody, winey, apricot, a little funky. Rich, intense taste. Full body. Vinous notes, wood, with light alcohol, all kinds of spicy, honeyed complexity. Sweet citrus notes and light pepper, and of course a little noble rot accent. Very complex. Just the slightest bit of tartness late. You donít have beers this good very often.

Sample at the festival, white wine, grape driven sweetness, some sour tartness, lemon notes, light pucker. Sauvignon blanc like grassiness, nice beer

@Mondial de la BiŤre 2012, Montreal - hazy blond beer with a persistent white foam; nice lacework; barnyard and fruity notes, wood and vanilla; slightly vinegar-like, creamy palate and quite full-bodied; dusty and fruity woody finish with notes of vanilla with a lingering acidity - great beer

Bottle shared by ygtbsm94. Thanks! Pours a hazy orange color with a thin head. Fair head retention. Aroma of earth, bread, citrus, slight funk. Fairly dry. The taste is tropical, citrus, bread and earthy notes. Medium bodied.

Huge thanks to ygtbsm94 for sharing this at a recent tasting. Served in a mini snifter. Pours a nice yellow color with a good white head. The nose carries nice Brett notes with a bit of earth underneath some hay, stone fruits, light wine, and pineapple. Some lemon comes in through the flavor. Light body and dry finish. Very nicely done beer.
