Pours a clear orange with almost no head. Lots of carbonation. Nose is wild yeast with a little candy sweetness and citrus notes. Brett notes in the mouth with some oak barrel tones. Light bitterness and beautiful fruity notes. Overall dry finish with a light candy sweetness in the beginning. Complex beer with an interesting combination of New World hops and wild yeasts.

Pours a hazy gold with a small white head and lacing. It has an aroma of barn funk, grapes, honey, and some vanilla, with a flavor of tart fruit and wine up front and a sour, funky finish over a light body. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to Andre for sharing this one. Pours a hazy golden-amber colour with lots of small particles (looking like spices and yeast). Warm cap, decent retention and thin creamy lacing that goes down quickly. Sour aromas with gooseberries and hints of anise. Tarty mouthfeel, medium-bodied. The taste has a little sourness, but goes away leaving a trail of yeast. All with a herbal finish. Coconut and vanilla notes lingers with the yeast. A nice concoction of a sour ale nose with the flavours which are different. More on the Belgian Ale-side with a nice balance of fruity malts, spices and grassy hops. Glad I could try this !

Thanks Kevin. Cloudy golden yellow pour with an off-white head. Aroma is light fruity. Taste is light fruit, soft, dry finish. Slight sour, refreshing. Palette cleansing finish. Good lacing.

Aroma is an earthiness, funkiness, sour grapes, wild yeasts and clove. Taste is pale sweet malts, with a sourness that seems potent by aroma but is actually quite smooth and pleasant. Clove, grass, lemon, banana, and sour grapes. Appearance is a hazy gold /orange with a thin pearl head that retains fairly poorly.

Bottled February 2014. This is a dark golden brown with a 3 finger lacy head. Honestly, the cap popped off really fast indicating it probably could be a gusher. Aroma has a lot of kiwi, pineapple, some turmeric and mango. Great funky aroma with some grape skins and oak. Love the taste of this. Very dry, so freaking funky. really excellent. Lots of fruit, wine barrel, oak, tannins, tropical overall. this is fantastic.

(Bottle, Stockholm Beer Festival, 27 Sep 2014) Golden colour with frothy, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with citrus, passion-fruit, hay and spices. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, a touch of brett and a generous spicy bitterness in the finish. More than medium body, quite dry. Spicy yeast character, fairly gentle sourness. Quite complex and very tasty. Excellent beer!

UPDATED: JAN 1, 2015 66cl bomber procured at Mondial de la Bière 2014, shared at oldmanriver’s potluck post-Nikolaus tasting 12/2014. The muddled New World composition of fresh vanilla wood and noble rot Sauvignon mushroom in aroma all but join in taste to create a hoppy, fresher Vlaams Bruin as a Canadian Blanche, infusing white grape, lemon rind, almond malts and dank balsamico into oak. Best of both new & old Worlds one-off.
