Cloudy, orangey-amber. Spicy-earthy-weedy aroma. Floral Belgian yeast character with spicy, dry, continental hops.

Light hazy golden ale with a thick creamy white head. Light aroma of cloves and curacao. In mouth, a creamy malt, sweet, with more bananas and cloved, like a wit. Creamy mouthfeel. medium bodied. A very nice wit (if it was a wit...). On tap at bar, Sept. 3 2006. Rating 2400.

Any first impressions?
-A ring of foam surrounds the hazy orange.
-Fluttering spices aim to seduce the nose, full of orange zest, coriander, cinnamon, cloves, and rising bread.
-Once tasted, loads of spices are laid onto thin bread crumbs.
-Active, prickly carbonation thrives in a well-fed, drinkable mouthfeel.

What if you dig deeper?
-The aftertaste is full of desserty spices, mostly cloves.
-The veiled hop support was well chosen in accordance with the flavor profile.
-There may be too much spice apport for my tastes, but this remains ably brewed, and will please spice lovers (my wife absolutely loved it).

On tap at the brewpub.

Amber/orange colour, delicate lasting white head. Soft yeast nose offers rather typical doughy banana esters and spicy underlyings. On top of its gently cerealic maltiness and caramelized nuances lie a generous dose of coriander which surprised me as everything they do is usually polished, balanced and eminently clean, while I felt this coriander freerider might have been a bit overdone, limiting the hops’ apparency and adding a milky leafiness that restrained the estery developments. Otherwise, the mouthfeel is soft with more than fair carbonation and good malt support.

Draft. Amber beer with a cream head. Yeast and light citrus aroma. Yest and spice flavor with light citrus. Medium bodied. Yeast and light citrus lingers with spice. Well done.

Tap at Paradiso Dupont. Pours a full haze orange. Weak head. Nose is estery, yellow fruity, golden raisin, rum cake. Taste is denser banana, sugar, mild bitterness, minty. Palate is dryer, soapy. As it warms, the taste foes quite mealy apple with sticky candies.

Draft at brewpub. Hazy orange. Ripe oranges and papaya in the fruity aroma. Light, fruity, and juicy. The house yeast character is so much fun! Firm dry finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

En fût. Verre de 12 oz dégusté directement à la brasserie. Arôme: Légère odeur de canelle. Apparence: La couleur est blonde voilée. Présence d’un moyen col mousseux et d’une fine dentelle sur le verre. Saveur: Goût d’agrumes avec une pointe d’épices et de bananes. Durée moyenne de l’arrière goût. Palette: Le corps est moyen avec une texture légèrement huileuse. Légère présence de zestes d’orange en arrière goût. (Rating #3246)

Pours a cloudy golden color with orange highlights and a thin white head. Good aroma and flavor of fruits and cinnamon, the spice is done just right, not too much but enough to smell and taste. The body is medium to full with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Interesting.
