On tap at Trou du Diable Shop. Black with a medium creamy beige head, good retention, leaving good lacing. Aroma is well balanced with roasted malts, vanilla, cocoa powder and mild fruitiness. Taste is slightly sweet with mild acidity, roasted malts, vanilla, mild fruitiness, bitterness chocolate and hints of anise. Medium body. Medium carbonation. Creamy-ish mouthfeel. Roasty finish. Balanced and flavorul Imperial Stout. Not over the top in any way. Quite easy drinking. Not boozy at all. Much better than expected.

12 ounces on tap at Vice Versa. Aroma: coffee , chocolate, roasted malt, a tiny tiny bit smokey. App: dark brown with red tint, nice big foamy moka head. Taste and palate: medium to full body, creamy, smooth, medium sweetness, light roasted, fruity and bitter finish. Overall: good stuff. Wonder if this is carbonated with co2. Anyway, really creamy and I liked it quite a lot.

[5390-20130525] Large bottle. Smoky chocolate soya aroma. Slightly hazy, dark brown red-hued body with a medium-lasting foamy light tan head. Smoked soya toasted grains flavour has a bit of a tang. Medium-full body. Tasty. (7/3+/7/3/15) 3.5

Bomber from Legacy Liquor in Vancouver. A black beer with a moderate tan head. Now, you may want to take note here. This is listed as an imperial stout, all well and good. This not, however, a standard interpretation of the style. Lighter and fruitier than the traditional imperial stouts that are exemplified by Old Rasputin and a few others. Very pleasant. More later, perhaps.

2013-05-25. Black body with a nice tan head. 3++ Modest aroma, dark malt light alcohol, mild roast. Flavour is surprisingly subtle, nice dark malt, modest alcohol, light roast, dark fruity undertones. Smooth average plus bodied palate, pleasant soft carbonation.3+ Nice! Surprisingly mild and subtle, very enjoyable imperial stout. Bottle at Volo, Toronto

750 ml bottle from Premier Wine and Spirits (Halifax). Pours a deep dark brown/black with average-sized tan head. Aroma is big roasty malt with anise, coffee, leather and dark fruit. Flavour is roasty verging on smoked with dark coffee, anise, leather, wood and a little raisin/plum. Big body. Really nice beer.

Black pour with a thin tan head. Roasty chocolate and vinous sweetness give way to smokey roast and hints of booze. Full body with a sticky sweet finish. I really liked this one.

Served in a mini snifter. Pours very dark with a mocha head. Thin collar. The nose carries some roast and chocolate plus a bit of darker fruits. Brown sugar as well. Flavor is moderately sweet without any booze. Mild roast and backing chocolate. Medium body and good carbonation. Pretty smooth. Good beer.
