COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This imperial stout, aged in bourbon barrels, gives notes of roasted malt on a coffee, dark chocolate and caramel background. The velvety palate is sustained by a sagacious amount of alcohol warmth that give this beer the taste and feel of a fine spirit.

750ml bottle. Very black pour with a dark tan head that lasts nicely. Bourbon really jumps out of the glass with a big roasted fire note, vanilla, espresso and licorice. On the palate the bourbon note still jumps out first with a bit of booziness. Fantastically complex stuff I’d say. It’s a little sweet and finishes with a pleasant bitterness.

[4225-20111231] Tap. Roasted dark fruity raisin aroma. Black body with a long-lasting creamy tan head. Chocolate roasted wood nut flavour has a long roasty aftertaste. Full body. Tasty, drinkable. (8/3+/8/4/17) 4.0

She poured me a beverage. A bottled black beverage big and foamy on top. Aroma is dusty malt absent any big alcohol note. Flavour has some depth, a dark fruit note. Light swetness. Some sourness. Some sweetness. a cold coffee stout. And then strong hints of the bourbon barrel.

Bottle, thanks to Slovaksniper, pours a nice dark black, decent head, the was light tan, aroma was very sweet, lots vanilla and very bourbony, I think this beer would turn out really well with some age, it was a quite sweet at this stage, but overall a really solid offering

2012-12-31. Black body with a nice foamy brown head. Odd aroma, dry lightly dusty dark malt, very light roast, light alcohol character. 7+ Flavour is interesting, light funky vaguely Belgian character to dark malt, dark fruit and mild alcohol. Less roast than in the aroma. 7+ Smooth average plus to medium bodied palate is very effervescent, softly so. Decent, bit unusual I wasn’t entirely sure what to make of it. Bottle at Volo, Toronto
