Bottle. Clear blond-gold pour with white foamy head. Aroma is cereal upfront, gentle grassy hops and honey. Taste is along the same lines. Slight bitterness and low sweetness allows cereals to shine. Very refreshing. Palate is suitable for the style, light bodied and medium carbonation. The best bottled pils to date.

Bottle, shared with Parksy and Smitty. Medium yellow gold, slightly hazy, foamy white head that laces nicely. Aroma is sweet grains, lightly bready, with some low-key hop character. Clean grainy palate, slightly bready, with a nice fresh grassy hop note in the finish. We drank this on the deck in 32 degree heat, and it was perfect.

Aroma: beaucoup d’amertume ( hops) Appearance: une bière d’été très rafraichissante mais pas plus. Pour moi je n’ai pas un type de bière que j’aime donc elle ne fera pas partie de mes prochains achats.

Pours a hazy golden with a white head and little lacing. Aroma of honeyed malt, light grassy and herbal hops. Taste is honey malts, herbal hops, a but grassy, little sweetness, low bitterness, moderate dry finish. Low body and medium carb. Refreshing but nothing oustanding. Ok.

600ml bottle pours a clear golden color with a finger of white head that retains well and leaves some nice lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits and grains. Taste is a citrus hop bitterness with a fruity and malty sweetness. Flavors are nicely balanced in this medium bodied and adequately carbonated brew. An easy to drink ale which I highly recommend to others.

UPDATED: JUN 30, 2014 Bottle (375 ml). Clear pale yellow/golden with a medium white head and some lacing. Aroma of cereals, honeyed malt, herbal notes and light fruits. Taste is slightly sweet with cereals, herbal notes, light fruits and light malt. Light and medium lasting bitter finish. Light body. Watery mouthfeel. Medium carbonation. Not bad per se, but nothing special either. Refreshing and crisp. I don’t know why they even bother bottling that kind of beer. And way overpriced for the quality. 6-3-6-3-13 =3.1 EDIT: Tried it again a few times. My previous rating was probably from one of the first batch of their new bottling lines. The last bottles I had were much better. Clean and crisp with a nice cereals and herbal presence. Really good summer beer. Highly drinkable and quenching. 7-4-7-4-15 = 3.6

375ml bottle from Le Monde des Bières. Description on bottle starts with "La Pitoune Pils".
Appearance : Clear pale yellow with small head.
Aroma : Honeyed cereals with some herbal hops and some grainy notes.
Taste : Malt with honey. Finish is malty with hone and herbal hops. Dry with with some residual sweetness from the honey.
Overall : I’m not so sure about this beer. A bit too much honey malty notes for the style. A bit too sweet on the finish as well. Not bad per say but not great either.
