Brilliantly clear blonde body is topped by a bright, white, fine bubbled head that laces well. Grainy malt flavour is offset by crisp bitterness and very subdued hop flavours. Sweetness gets a bit sticky if allowed to warm and a doughy yeast note emerges. Lively carbonation to the refreshing light body - a real thirst quencher. Sampled on tap at the brewpub with MartinT and Olivier MTL. MartinT (4458), Montreal, Quebec, Canada May 8, 2006 Any first impressions?
-A veil of foam tops the clear golden gown.
-The diverse fruitiness of litchi, citrus fruit, and lemongrass is talently spread onto the creamy cereal and haystack, for an overall subtle, but very enjoyable aroma.
-This fruity sweetness, now also evoking some pineapples, follows the clever hay-like maltiness.
-Body is drinkable while possessing some malty love handles, very clean and healthy.

What if you dig deeper?
-Finishes shyly, which is the intent I’m sure since this is the brewpub "blonde".
-A discrete earthy hop touch proposes lime alongside the whispering tree bark.
-This lager is a good omen of things to come in this brewpub; a perfect middle-ground for the micro-fearing masses and the traveling beer geeks.
