Translation: Saison du Tongka is a yellow-copper colored beer that is dry and refreshing. It has a spicy, candy-like aroma with a light phenolic touch typical of saison yeast. Taste is bold and generous, with a sharp acidity that leads to instantaneous thirst quenching.

From tap at Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Pours clear golden with small white head. Aroma is sharp, yeasty, cheese. Taste is light sweet and bitter, dry, hoppy. Light bodied, easy going, balanced. Good.

Draft @ ML Fontainas.

12oz pour at Paradiso Dupont. Pours a transparent gold with some thin, white head. Nose has candy sugar, mild tropical fruit, bright pepper, some green apple. Flavor is similar, apple skins, pink peppercorns, a little yeast, some honey and candy sweetness. Mostly clean finish.

On tap at Bellwoods, Toronto. Hazy gold, white head. Nose is pepper, apricot, wheaty. Palate is rounder than most saisons, dry, well carbonated. Feels like half American Wheat half Belgian ale with spice. Nice.

transparent gold, puffy white ring, oily top. Sawdusty cedar and pepper nose, estery green apple and sugar seeping in. Dusty, dirty esters metallic through the biting zesty end. No excess sugar but messy and thin at times.

On tap at The Only Café. Hazy yellow body and lacy. The yeast gives it a hefe spice banana character, Its drinkable, its fine but I have had some really good saison lately.

2013-09-21. Very hazy pastel orange body is sort of peach juice meets OJ in colour, nice creamy off white head and lace. Aroma is pleasant, modest fruity hops, light yeasty bite. Flavour is relatively mild but quite pleasant. Mild bitterness throughout, mild hops, mild fruit sweet orange, whisper of mango like tropical fruit. Very light grassy undertones. Very smooth bodied palate, soft carbonation is surprising considering the foamy pour. On tap at The Only Cafe, Toronto

Tap at Volo. Pale golden straw pour with a thin white head. The aroma is slightly spicy. A bit of clove and some light fruit. It’s dry with a light minerally finish. Pretty nice brew.
