COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Scopey (11560) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - DEC 9, 2015
Bottle shared at Craft. It pours hazy deep gold with a thick, foamy white head. The nose is fresh, bready, doughy, cereal, mild, toasted grain, nougat, straw, hay and lightly toasted sugars. The taste is crisp, clean, bitter, toasted grain, minerals, grassy, straw, bread, lemon peel, hint of banana and cracked white pepper with a bone-dry finish. Medium body and moderate+ carbonation. Well-rounded and very drinkable. Good work.

On tap @Buskers Pub (Rome). Pours deep golden with a medium and persistent white head. Aroma is fruity, peach, lemon, orange zest, light spices, amazing. Flavour is well balanced, medium to light sweet with a perfect bitter end. Medium body, medium carbonation. A great saison!

Bottle. Hazy golden with a large fluffy off white head with good retention and lace. Fruity nose with raspberries, peach, lemon candy, honey. Flavour follows with some bread, hay and dry grass also. Medium body, some sweetness, lively carbonation, mild bitter and dry finish with lingering fruity notes. The carbonation is a bit too high for my preference, but otherwise pretty enjoyable tractor stuff.

Wow, this beer restores my faith in Saison/ Biere de Garde/ Farmhouse styles again after the Saison Dupont debacle. Aroma is mainly yeast with some lemon/citrus. Flavor has some of that plus just enough malt sweet to balance and keep it interesting plus add body. The carbonation is perfect. Super drinkable. Outstanding suds!

From Club del Gourmet of El Corte Ingles. In Ikea’s pint glass. After dinner. Easy drinking, great aroma and tasty. The saison ive liked most so far. Hoppy and itchy.

Draft. The aroma has hay, herbs and citrus. The taste however is spicy! It has ginger and kardamon. Really interesting!

Tap at Bar Hop’s new place on St Peter, Toronto. Darkish opaque yellow with white head. Retention and lacing good. Oh no... Spicy bandaid aroma... Also flavour... But if I look past this - which is difficult - I get fresh sweet and sour fruitiness, and quite some funk. Carbonation active but rather pleasantly so, dryish finish. No, I didn’t really like this one.
