COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

Holy toledo, lots of white head, my glass is overflowing right now....lots of lacing, aroma of yeast, hops, banana, and clove. Taste - lively carbonated mouthfeel, dry, a bit of light hops, some clove and spice like undertones, finishes abrupt..meow.

Hazy amber color. Very hoppy nose with oranges, coriander and a touch of black pepper. Med dry mouth, that is a bit over hopped for the style, but refreshing and enjoyable. Fairly big lingering bitter finish with brandy notes and slightly warming. Would be better if it was a bit lower AbV, but still nice.

Bottle. Shouldn’t have laid it down to chill. Some big chunks in here. Yellow with very big very long lasting head. More spice and light pepper in the nose than in the mouth. Very drinkable. Very enjoyable. Maybe there is as much pepper in the flavour as you keep going. Soft body and gentle spice.

Very interesting saison beer. Subtile flavour of lemon. Different from other saison that I had, more aroma, more complex and really refreshing. Another great product of Le Trou du Diable Microbrewery. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Lasting white frothy white head atop a cloudy golden amber body. Nose of coriander and minor citrus. Very yeasty and lemon, nice carbonation, short bitterness through the palate. Very quaffable. Purchased from Cascadia Liquors in Colwood.

What a treat from Tony (Duffman). Pours hazy gold with a medium head and great lacing. Aroma is spot-on: Lemon, yeast, hay, burlap, soil, rain. Amazing. Flavor is better than the aroma promises- wallops of bret funk, apricots, lemon, cobwebs, hemp/burlap, brie rind, some distant pepper, and grass/hay in the finish. Simply astounded by this one, maybe my favorite beer in a long while. That they got this much flavor in a 6% ABV beer is astounding.
