3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draught at Rogue Kitchen & Wetbar (W. Broadway), Vancouver
Murky blond color with generous head. The aroma is nice, fresh and perfumy, flowery, some jasmine and coriander. It’s a bit too much carbonated; soft mouthfeel, rather dry; strong wheat flavor, spicy, with some dry and bitter orange peel. The bitterness is on the high end for this style.
Good, but also somehow rustic, dirty, not elegant.

3.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
Draught at Churchkey. Amber/brown color, huge solid white head and a solid curtain of lacing. Aroma of white pepper and hay. Taste is an odd combination of sour and bitter with some gun metal, perhaps overhopped, or perhaps an infection. I’ll have to try this one again, either from the bottle, or closer to the source, to see if this was just a problem with this batch.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Capped 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours dishwater gold with a huge foamy white head. Thru all the foam the aroma is fruit and earth. Med body or better. Flavor is fruit, spice, earth. All somewhat mild individually, but rather flavorful together. Finishes well towards dry and earthy/spicy/fruity. Just excellent.
