Tap at Mondial. This and Zeeland were the 2 best saisons of the fest by far. Pours a nice light golden hazed with a fluffy lasting white head and nice coating of lace. Aroma is spicy orange zest, with apricot, mango, peppery spicy phenolics and grass- mostly doughy clean bready malts and very low sweetness- good belgian/french saison yeastiness. Flavor is more pineapple and grapefruit from the hops and yeast, apricot, orange juice, nelson sauvin, gets to be white wine like, some mineral and grass in the end and nicely dry on the end with good tacky bitterness in the end. Nice Hopped up saison.

Cloudy golden pour with a huge thick white head. The nose is bright and spicy with a bit of lemon and a touch of clove along with a bit of white pepper and a dry malt backbone. It’s got a lot of yeast character but isn’t too phenolic. Has some dustiness and a bit of perfumey notes as well as some lingering fruitiness. Pear and apple esters along with some nice spiciness. It’s a lovely approachable saison.

On tap at Vices et Versa. A Classic cloudy straw gold. It has a big wheaty spicy saison aroma that is quite full on. Quite full bodied with a full velvety mouthfeel. The taste is spicy, bitter Brett like funky farmhouse. A clean saison with a decent amount of complexity - nice.

Bottle. Head is initially large, frothy, white, mostly lasting. Body is hazy medium yellow, bottle conditioned. Aroma is lightly malty (toasted grain), moderately hoppy (flowers), lightly to moderately yeasty (cobwebs), with notes of gum, peach, pineapple. Flavor is moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly bitter. Finish is lightly to moderately sweet, lightly to moderately acidic, lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery/velvety texture, lively carbonation, lightly alcoholic. Nice tropical nose, very fruity. A bit sweet in the mouth but still fairly quaffable. Maybe more of a plain Belgian golden ale than a saison, but still pleasant.

Bouteille 600 ml . Merci Le Trou Du Diable!!

Great saison. Thick white head that disappears quickly. Citrus flavours are strong making the beer very refreshing.

Looking forward to this beer. Like Diable, great bottle by the way. Pours with a head as thick and tall as the thunderheads over the cottage while I drink this. Carbonation streaming up at a furious pace through a cloudy golden beer. When the head finally subsides, and the anticipation has pushed my willpower far past it’s plebeian limits, I give it a good smell. I’m rewarded with grass and hay malts and a faint hint on far off pine hops. The flavour is full of sun-drying hay malts, and the mildly sour tang of lemon. The flavour is well balanced and simple. The sourness flattens out as the glass’ bottom approaches, leaving a slight bitterness and a touch of sour and the memory of malts. Very, very nice.

Pours golden with dense, thick, white head. Aroma of sour yeast. Tastes of same with some unfortunate bitterness detracting from the overall taste.

Hazy straw pour, huge rocky white head. Aroma is white pepper, citrus, lemongrass, pleasant grain and malted wheat. Flavour is citrus, yeast, light grain sweetness tails well with earthiness, herbal/woody, lemony citrus dry finish. Lovely. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
